If you’re thinking about buying a home, you’ve come to the right place! There are several steps to get through before moving day.

Step

#1

Let’s get coffee!

Your very first step will be to reach out to me and tell me about your goals. We will meet at your favorite coffee shop or over zoom and talk about your wants and needs, your timeline, and how I can help you find the house you’re looking for. We will create a plan together based on your needs which will be the guide to your home buying journey.

Step

#2

Get Pre-Qualified

Unless you’re paying cash, you will need to apply for a mortgage loan. I will get you connected with one of my favorite lenders who has proven to be dependable and on top of things. Your lender is a very important team member in your home buying journey. Your lender can make things smooth or really mess things up for you so it’s crucial you choose the right person here. If you already have someone in mind, that works too!

Step

#3

Let’s Go Shopping

Once you know how much you can afford, we can look at houses! At this point we are on the same page as to what you’re looking for and we know your budget. I will send you matching homes as they hit the market so you can be one of the firsts to see it. I will be sure to help you stay within your budget while finding a home that has all your “must haves!”

Step

#4

Offering

You’ve found the one, so it’s time to offer on it! I will go over the entire contract and help guide you through the different terms in your offer. There’s more to it than just the price so it’s critical you have someone in your corner who has strong negotiation skills and positive relationships with other real estate agents in the community. We will go over all the documents together and then we will submit your offer.

Step

#5

Accepted Offer

The seller can counter your offer, accept, or reject it. From the time your offer is accepted it will typically take 30-45 days until you can move in. During this period, you will have a window of time (typically 10 days) to inspect the home and complete your due diligence. If you discover something about the home you are uncomfortable with, you may legally back out of the contract during this time. Meanwhile, the title company will be working to ensure the house has a clean title before transferring it to your name. Your lender will also be working in the background to get your loan approved which includes ordering an appraisal. Once you get final loan approval you can close on your new home and move in!

I am so passionate about making the above steps as smooth as possible for my clients. It’s my job to show you homes that match your needs, write the offer, negotiate, handle all the communication with the seller, stay on top of all contractual deadlines, and explain all documents to you. As my client, you are like family to me. Your best interests come first! I am so excited for you and this next chapter of your life.
